Coyu “The Big Cat” is one of the most referenced and respected personalities on the techno scene. Ever since he founded his cat empire in 2008, Suara, he’s been known to be the inspiration for many because of what he’s achieved, directing a brand that shows no signs of slowing down. What started off as a record label (until this day it’s still one of the most important labels for techno and underground clubbing music, as you will be able to see reflected on charts like Beatport and Resident Advisor) is now a symbol for cat and dance music lovers. Coyu directs with great precision a brand that because of such a demand is also a brand of clothes (Suara Store, with a physical store in Barcelona) and a non-lucrative organization that loves and helps street cats (Suara Foundation).
Following a flurry of great remixes for the likes of Fatboy Slim (Skint), Stephan Bodzin (Herzblut), Joseph Capriati (Drumcode), Pete Tong & John Monkman (Suara), MOBY & Skylar Grey (Little Idiot), Charlotte de Witte (Turbo) just to name a few, he is steadily signing no less groovy original tracks such as “Clap Your Hands” (Drumcode), “The Cat” (Hot Creations), “Apparition” (Noir), “Profound Pleasure” (Defected) or the already classics “Balls”, “Cygnus” (release #200 on the label!) and “Y.E.A.H.”, both released on his beloved Suara. From his very great ‘hit’ “El Baile Alemán” (Liebe Detail, 2009) Coyu has released also on many other labels such as Get Physical, Bedrock, Cocoon, 100% Pure, Systematic, etc.
Size doesn’t matter.
A slogan that fits Leesa perfectly. For more than a decade, she keeps herself ahead of the herd. With this kind of experience, and a serious dose of intelligence, she switches easily from deep house to techno in her sets.
Let’s not forget the 7 EP’s she produced for a wide range of labels, and you know you’ve got raw gold in your hands.
You don’t have to believe us, but you better believe almost every club in Belgium or Europe, and festivals as Tomorrowland, I Love Techno or 10 Days off.
Both born in Hasselt, Reygel & Peri ran into each other in high school and soon it became clear they shared the same obsession with house music. It didn’t take long before they teamed up as deejays. While most of their friends would go to parties, Reygel & Peri would be the ones playing there.
After a decade of tearing up floors together, Reygel & Peri have built up a solid reputation in doing so.
In the past years they have shared the decks with many of the greatest house deejays. 2012 was the start of their musical journey into the world of music with their first gigs at major festivals. They conquered the stage of Tomorrowland six years in a row, hosted five Belgian parties at the Balaton Sound Festival in Hungary and gained international foot around the globe with several gigs in The Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, Thailand and France. Every week they host their own radioshow on Versuz Radio.
Aside from deejaying, Reygel & Peri became notorious for their bootlegs, mash-up’s and edits. When they play early, they heat up the place nice and smooth. In any other case, they just break it down with a set full of energy. They now teamed up in the studio and finished their first track. Just in time for another crazy year.
In 1989 Christophe Mark aka Tofke Guaperas started DJ-ing at underground party’s together with Deg (Fuse). In 1990 Claude from City Parade discovered Tofke and gave him his chance to start at the age of 15 as Belgium’s youngest DJ in the very first after club in Belgium called The Globe. At that time, his music style was a new, fresh, techno sound. Soon he played in clubs all over Europe such as: Warehouse-Koln, E-Werk-Berlin, La Luna-Marseille, Rex-Paris… and raves like Mayday-Berlin, Love Parade-Berlin, Magic Kingdom-Switzerland, Coalmine Rave-Croatia, … In all this different places he held his ground next to DJ’s like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Jack de Marseille, Alex Patterson, Richie Hawtin, Marco Bailey and many, many more.
In 1993 he was elected third best Belgium DJ by the readers poll of the iconic nightlife magazine “Out Soon”. Later that year he fell in love with Ibiza where he started to play on beach parties and private villa parties. During the years 1996 till 2002, he held a weekly resident at Pacha for two years and another at Space Ibiza for again two years.
Tofke also did one season at Pin-Up for Coxwen. Besides that, he played in all the major clubs in Ibiza such as Privilege, El Divino, Amnesia and also got the chance to do the more underground parties like Circo Loco at DC10 and Km5. Next to all the DJ-ing, he also owned the famous bar “Coolture Cafe Ibiza” together with his friend Carmello Martinez. Tofke teamed up with Daniel Munoz to start “Mad Productions” and they were the first to organise Ibiza-reunions in Belgium.
As a DJ Tofke played with all the great Ibiza DJ’s such as Pippi, Jose de Divina, Elias, Tania Vulcano, Bruno Cafe Del Mar, Smoking Jo, Javy Munoz, Oliver, Cesar de Melero and many more.
Back in Belgium he has been resident the last 15 years in almost every club worth mentioning. Think La Rocca, Pacha Brussels, At The Villa, The Globe, Bump at Fuse, Carat, Illusion, H2O, Creamm, Barocco… Tofke is probably one of the most famous DJ’s from the early 90’s scene in Belgium who still plays in clubs such as Pacha-Marrakech, Cream-Gran Canaria, Ministry of sound London, Kadoc Portugal, Panama Amsterdam, Souk New York and many more.
Hailing from Guyana, Radiolevel crossed the deep blue sea at a young age to find himself in Brussels, a melting pot of new sounds and shapes. At age 15 his cousin showed him the ins and outs of scratching and hiphop DJ’ing. Ever the explorer, Radiolevel soon developed a taste for electronic music, which he indulged in the sweet sensations of retro, trance, minimal and old school techno. As his alter ego Sixx he brought the heat to parties in Brussels, Opwijk, Asse and Dendermonde, and became one of the residents of Faces, an alternative group of DJ’s playing mainly underground techno, minimal, electro and house music.
Nearly a decade on, Radiolevel felt it was time to delve deeper into the rich soundscapes crowding his mind, so he started producing and crafting his own tracks. The floodgates opened, a steady stream of EP’s and remixes on other great labels around the world followed. His musical habitat can be found at the crossroads joining techno, tech-house and tribal.
Since 2016 he has his own party concept: Soulflex. Soulflex is a tech-House techno tribal non-profit party concept with one clear goal, take people out of their head and into their body. Soulflex awakse the primal inner dancer.
